Windows 7

Ok so I had installed Ubuntu on my sisters laptop using Wubi. One day I was in Ubuntu, and I had GParted open and I was formatting a flash drive. Now what I think happened was I selected the main hard drive, and formatted it. She was pissed! So I had a copy of the windows 7 beta, and what I ended up doing what installing it. I thought great fine, she won't be mad at me. Well in the back of my mind I knew that it will stop working, and I found out that the day is coming... soon. But the way is will stop working is, every 2 hours it will shutdown. As I am writing this at 12:40 AM, she is in her bed sleeping, I'm fucked!

Linux

Some of you might be asking what is Linux. Well linux is a open source OS. You also might be asking what is open source. Open source is type of software or distribution method that people or company's use to share there software. Open source is free you can download the source code and modify it any way you want to.

So Linux is free, open, and one of the most awesome OS's you can pick if you want to get way form os x or windows. Bu one thing to know about Linux is there isn't just one version/type, they are distributions. Now there are may Linux distributions out there, like Ubuntu, Debian, Mandriva, Slackware, RedHat, Novell, SuSe, and like 10 others that aren't important.

I started use Linux back in I think march of 2006, I was only 10 and I installed RedHat 9 on my Compaq deskpro. I only had it installed for a week until i had my dad nuke the drive and reinstall windows XP. And later that year I installed SuSe Linux 10 on the same computer.

As of right now I am running Ubuntu on my eeepc witch i am writing on right now, also I duel booted Ubuntu and os x on my Intel mac mini, last I am trying to make a web/file sever on a Packard Bell 955, not going so well keep getting kernel panics because of some sort of driver... whatever.

Ok here is my history of linux.

The iPad

O well today around 11am Steve Jobs announced the iPad. This is one of many blogs about the iPad, but i haft tho say its a cool concept. It its a real competitor to the amazon kindle, they are both e-readers but the iPad dose more. The iPad is not a replacement for your netbook, it is in its own catagory. So when it comes out don't go chucking your eeepc out a window. Another thing is the name iPad i don't like it, i would have like iSlate or the Apple Tablet. but quoting David Di Franco "Its just a name... and what the hell is a iPod anyway? Well this is my take on the iPad so say what you want this is what i think.

The Swine Flu Vaccine

Today at school they where giving out swine flu vaccine I got it the shot form. The reason why I got the vaccine is because my mommy made me. I asked my friend Amber what is your opinion on the vaccine she said that the vaccine was wrong because its has mercury in it. Well what i haft to say to that is we are exposed to mercury all the time so who cares.
